Using encrypted
AirWes with Mac OS X 10.5
If you click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your
screen and choose “About This Mac” the dialog box will tell you the version of
Mac OS X you have.
These instructions will walk you through connecting to the
encrypted wireless network called AirWes-wpa.
While the wireless network called AirWes is not encrypted, AirWes-wpa is
encrypted. An encypted connection will
protect your data as it is transmitted over the wireless network.
|
Step 1 – Select “Join Other Network…” from the Airport
menu on the top right of your screen.
Do not select the AirWes-wpa
item in the AirPort menu.
Once you have finished these instructions, then in the
future you may select AirWes-wpa, but the first time you must choose “Join
Other Network…”
