ArtSource (U of Kentucky) Links to art and architecture, including bibliographies, libraries, museums, events, artists' projects, electronic exhibitions, image collections, etc.

Gateway to Art History - Harcourt Brace has collaborated with Chris Witcombe (Art History, Sweet Briar College) to create this site. Witcombe has collected sites relevant to the study of art history and placed them in the context of the chapters from Gardner's Art through the Ages (10th ed., 1996). The site includes hundreds of links to sites around the world.

History of Art Virtual Library - (Birbeck College, University of London) This website covers Art History and Computer applications in Art History. It lists sites of interest to both people with a general interest in the subject as well as to students and scholars of Art History.

Mother of All Art History Links (University of Michigan) - This site was created for a workshop on the Internet for Art Historians that Andrew Midkiff taught at the University of Michigan . The purpose of this site is to serve as an introductory resource for anyone interested in the study of Art History, or related fields.

Voice of the Shuttle: Art (Modern and Contemporary) and Art History - An excellent place to start and one of the more widely-linked pages related to humanities research. Includes Museums, Galleries, Auctions, Artists and Works, course syllabi and teaching resources.

The Photographic Historical Society (Rochester Institute of Technology) - Extensive "Related Links" page.

George Eastman House International Museum of Photography and Film - Includes information about the museum itself as well as links to other photography sites.

Life Magazine Home Page - a site for and about photographers and photography.  Included is a Virtual Gallery which is a list of sites all relating to photojournalism.

Art Museum Network - Includes the official exhibition calendar of the world's leading art museums.

American Association of Museums - Every type of museum is represented including art, history, science, military and maritime, and youth museums, as well as aquariums, zoos, botanical gardens, arboretums, historic sites, and science and technology centers.

Museums and Galleries (via Gateway to Art History) -  Includes lists of museums by country as well as links to collections within the museums.

Museum Resources - This site claims to offer the most comprehensive collection of online museums in the world, with its resources divided into over 160 different categories.

WebMuseum Network - This site is a project of a private individual Nicholas Pioch,and includes a tour of Paris, a famous paintings exhibit with artist and theme index, and special exhibitions.

WWW Virtual Library: Museums - The Museums Home Page includes an eclectic collection of  World Wide Web services connected with museums, galleries and archives.

Smithsonian Institution Includes access to the databases of the Archives of American Art and the Inventory of American Painting and Sculpture.
