CTW requests are placed using the "Request" option in the CTW Online Catalog. Click on CTW Online Catalog to place a CTW request.

CTW represents the Connecticut College, Trinity College and Wesleyan University library automation consortium. While searching the CTW online catalog, please, note the location prefix. WU stands for Wesleyan University, CC for Connecticut College and TC for Trinity College. We will request materials through the CTW consortium for you if they are not available at Wesleyan or if Wesleyan copy is checked out or missing.

Step-by-step instructions on how to place a CTW request while in the online catalog:

Locate the Connecticut or Trinity record for the item you want.

  • With the desired record on screen, point and click on the "Request" option at the top of the screen.
  • Log in with your Wes ID number and last name.
  • Select CTW Book Request (the default option) and click "OK".
  • Enter your Wes ID and click to "Submit Request".
You will be sent an email notice when the item is available (usually less than 2 weekdays).

Who can borrow materials through CTW consortium:

Due to corsortium policy, town borrowers, alumni, or any other borrowers not specifically listed below may not participate in this program. However, materials at these libraries may be available through the interlibrary loan department of your local public library.

You may request materials through the CTW consortium if you are:

  • a currently enrolled undergraduate student
  • a currently enrolled graduate student
  • current faculty and staff
  • emeriti faculty and staff
