CTW Consortium
The library resources of Connecticut College, Trinity College, and Wesleyan University are available to eligible users at all three institutions through an automation consortium known as CTW, which went online in 1988. The computerized catalog allows Wesleyan users access to material from any of the three institutions. A delivery service carries books among libraries in the CTW system, allowing Wesleyan users to get items from Trinity and Connecticut Colleges.
Faculty, staff, and registered students with valid Wesleyan
I.D. cards are eligible users.
As an eligible user, you may:
- borrow books from any library in the system, subject to the regulations of each lending
library.
- browse or use materials in any of the libraries.
- request that materials be delivered to Wesleyan for your use.
- request that journal articles be photocopied and delivered to Wesleyan for you.
The CTW online catalog gives access to most of the materials owned by the three schools --
over 2,000,000 books, periodicals, government documents, and non-print materials;
eventually, it will include all library holdings. Some older Wesleyan materials that have not yet been put online can still be found in the main card catalog, located to the right of the Reference Desk in Olin.
