FedStats - More than 70 Federal agencies produce statistics of interest to the public. The Federal Interagency Council on Statistical Policy maintains this site to provide easy access to the statistics and information produced by these agencies for public use.

County and City Data Book - online access at the Geospacial and Statistical Data Center at University of Virginia.

Country Studies / Area Handbooks - Online books published by US Govt Printing Office and Dept of the Army. Each book covers a particular foreign country, describing and analyzing its political, economic, social, and national security systems and institutions, and examining the interrelationships of those systems and the ways they are shaped by cultural factors.
