The primary role of reference librarians is to instruct and support all members of the Wesleyan community in identifying, obtaining, and using information and materials for their academic and personal needs. Their major goals include promoting both immediately efficient use of libraries, at Wesleyan and elsewhere, and a comprehension of the structure of the information world generally that will be of lifelong value.
