The Connecticut Premiere of “Indies Under Fire: The Battle for the American Bookstore”

A 2006 documentary directed by Jacob Bricca, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Film Studies at Wesleyan University.  In the span of just a decade, over half of the nations independent bookstores vanished. This gripping documentary chronicles the devastating effect of giant book chains on the nation's independent bookstores -- and how they are fighting back!
