Upcoming exhibit: The Photograph and the Book
From Fox Talbot's Pencil of Nature to cutting-edge
artists' books, the photographically illustrated book’s evolution parallels that
of art and documentary photography. Drawn from the rich holdings of Wesleyan’s
Special Collections & Archives, this exhibit highlights the interplay of image
and text in a wide range of books illustrated using photographs.
On view during regular Olin Library hours, Oct. 16, 2008 –
Jan. 15, 2009.
