Special Collections & Archives (SC&A) maintains and makes available library materials needing some special care in order to preserve them for the future. They may be unique or rare or fragile or awkward in format; they may be especially difficult or expensive to replace; they may have significant Wesleyan or other associational value. The materials do not circulate and must be read in the department's reading room. The variety, interest, and scholarly value of the collections are regularly explored through SC&A-prepared exhibitions on the main floor of Olin Library.

A new online exhibition from the Archives:

Cross Street A.M.E. Zion Church: Struggle, Jubilee, Vision

Past online exhibitions:

Old Books, New Pedagogy: Special Collections and Archives in the Curriculum

Born in Obscurity, Reared in Strife: A Short History of the Trials, Travels, and Travails of the Douglas Cannon

We are also adding Wesleyan archival documents to The American Context of China's Christian Colleges digital project.
