Choosing a Slide Layout

Your first slide will most likely be a title slide, but it does not have to be. There are many options for slide layouts for your first and any subsequent slide, including a blank layout that allows you to put whatever you want in the slide.

To select a layout for your slide, click to open the drop-down menu at the top of the Task Pane and select "Slide Layout." The sample slides show what each type of slide looks like: each has a space for the title at the top, then some have a space for a bullet list, a picture, a chart, a video clip, other item, or various combinations of items. Click an option to use that format in the slide you are currently working on.
