Presentations with PowerPoint 2003
|
"Package for CD"
| So, now you're done with your presentation. But you can't
take your computer with you to the class, lecture hall, conference, or
wherever you are presenting. So, PowerPoint offers a "Package for CD" option which allows you to take your show on the road, including
all the images, links, fonts, and other specifications that may or may not
be on the computer you will be using for your presentation. Though it
is labeled "Package for CD," you can use this feature to save your
presentation to a floppy disk or a network folder. |
 |
From the main menu, choose File, then "Package for CD."
|
To copy to a CD:

- Select a CD to put in the CD drive. You can use a CD-RW (rewritable)
or a CD-R (recordable). If you use a CD-R, note that you cannot
overwrite what you put on it the first time, so make sure your show is
completely ready to go before you copy it to the disc.
- You can save more than one show to a disc. Click "Add Files" to copy
multiple shows to one disc.
- Select appropriate "Options" such as whether to include "PowerPoint
Viewer" (which will allow you to play a show on a computer that does not
have PowerPoint installed), whether or not to play files automatically
when the CD is inserted, password protect files, etc.
- When all selections are ready, click to "Copy to CD." To save to a
network folder or other location, click to "Copy to Folder"
