The library often purchases books based on user recommendations. Any registered students, faculty and staff of Wesleyan University may recommend a purchase. You may email acquisitions suggestions directly to email@example.com or submit the following form online.
If the following item is being purchased for an academic course reserve, please submit a COURSE RESERVE REQUEST instead. The Reserve staff will then submit the Purchase Request.
Other ways to make a purchase request
- E-MAIL REQUESTS may be sent directly to Acquisitions via firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include the following information: author, title, ISBN number, publisher, date of publication, price, and series title (if any). Indicate whether you would like to be notified when an item arrives.
- Alternatively, ORDER REQUEST CARDS may be obtained by campus mail or in person from Trevor West (x3829 or email@example.com) of the Acquisitions Dept., ground floor, Olin Library. The request cards should be filled out completely with the same information as required for e-mail requests. They may be returned to Trevor West by campus mail or in person.
- ORIGINAL SOURCE MATERIALS (catalogues, publishers' advertisements, etc) may be sent directly to Trevor West in the Acquisitions Department, Olin Library. Circle the titles which you would like the library to acquire. Please indicate if you would like to be notified when an item arrives.
