The Arts Teaching Spaces CFA Building L project is envisioned to continue to improve the campus life through supporting facilities and to maintain and improve the physical and technological infrastructure.  

The Arts Teaching Spaces CFA Building L project shall include but not be limited to the renovation of the first floor of the Center for the Arts Building L.  This project will accommodate the needs of the Arts faculty by creating a digital classroom, media lab, editing rooms, drawing studio, 1 drawing faculty office with studio space, 1 ITS support office, plotter/storage workroom, drawing studio storage room and PC Kiosk/portfolio storage area.  Supplemental cooling will be provided in the digital classroom and media lab.  Exhaust units will be provided in the drawing studio and plotter/storage area and ventilation will be provided in the editing rooms. Demolition to include but not be limited to removal of wiremold, lighting, electrical and subpanels, removal and relocation of drawing studio grid lighting system and related dimming system,  relocation of fire alarm devices, cleaning and painting of existing roof drains, removal of corridor slop sink and water fountain, cap of existing plumbing supplies as identified, demolition of corridor storage areas, removal and reuse of interior doors, removal and disposal of window treatment, roof openings to accommodate 2 air conditions and exhaust units for medial lab and digital classroom, drawing studio and editing rooms. Relocation and installation of additional smoke detectors and horn strobes as required, maintenance to 18 existing FCU to include replacement of valves with Belimo 3-way valves interfaced with the Energy Management System. Installation of black out and light filtering shades as indicated on the drawings. Furnished and built in workstations to accommodate classroom, lab, offices and studio. Relocation and reinstallation of drawing studio equipment, still life samples, cabinetry, platform, lighting grid and related items. Signage as identified. Carpeting to be installed in ITS office, media lab, plotter/storage room, and editing rooms. New wood dance floor in digital classroom.  New paint throughout. Lighting to be addressed in each space.  Tack boards to be provided in classroom, lab, and drawing studio. Restoration and reuse of existing tack board in main corridor and drawing office. Projection screen installation and utilities/conduit for ITS rack system and security system. Installation of ceiling mounted projectors in classroom and media lab. Installation of new electrical panel.  Related work as identified on the drawings and in the specifications.
