Film Studies

The Film Studies Program at Wesleyan has been a leader for 30 years with its innovative approach to teaching the theory and history of film and the art and technique of filmmaking. Wesleyan Film Studies alumni hold important positions in the professional film community and in academia. A new Center for Film Studies, attached to the existing Cinema Archives, houses classrooms, a screening room, and production space, as well as faculty and administrative offices.

Each year, Film Studies expands its offerings and the Cinema Archives expands its collections. This growth requires a new facility so that the excellence of the program can be maintained.
