Dr. Ishita Mukerji is Associate Professor of
Molecular Biology and Biochemistry in the Molecular Biophysics Program,
Wesleyan University. She received her A.B. from Bryn Mawr College in 1983
and her Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1990. After
graduation, Dr. Mukerji worked in a NRSA Postdoctoral Fellowship at
Princeton University. Since 1994, she has been teaching and researching at
Wesleyan University, investigating protein-DNA and protein-protein
interactions using a variety of spectroscopic approaches. She has been
honored with the National Science Foundation Career Development Award
(CAREER 1995) and the Donaghue Investigator Award ( 2001). Dr. Mukerji is
also actively involved in the American Association for the Advancement of
Science, the American Chemical Society, and the Biophysical Society. |
