Mrs. Amenta

Mrs. Amenta is a 1st grade teacher.She's been a teacher in this school for sixteen years. She has also taught grades K, 1, 2, 3, 3/4, 4/5 at Snow School.
She became a teacher because she enjoys the growth she constantly observes with children. She loves the staff because she learns a lot from them. That is why she enjoys student teachers to help her with new ideas. She says the most wonderful thing a person can say is that they love their profession. She dearly loves first grade, and she's so happy she has been given this opportunity to be able to, hopefully, make a difference in some students' lives.
Mrs. Amenta uses many centers to help students learn while she works with her guided reading groups daily.
When she sees students that were in her class leave she has mixed emotions. She's very proud of their accomplishments, but she is a little sad because they are leaving. She notices that plans are always changing.
She is married to Tony Amenta. She has two grown daughters. Amy is getting her Ph.D in Forensic Psychology and Jennifer attends Fairfield University. She has a dog named Brandy, and three cats named Pumpkin, P.J. and Brady. She collects angels and pigs. She loves lighting scented candles. I had Mrs. Amenta for 1st grade.
