Fifth
Grade
Mrs. Slesinski has been at Macdonough School teaching 5th grade since September 1998. Mrs. Slesinski has taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade in Hartford. She also taught a 4th grade class in Cromwell.
To become a teacher, she went to E.C.S.U (Eastern Connecticut State University) and C.C.S.U (Central Connecticut State University) to earn her graduate degree.
Mrs. Slesinski loves teaching the 5th grade class at Macdonough.
She says, "I like having the oldest students and watching them help the younger students." To teach Math she uses games like Around the World, Trivia, & Jeopardy. She uses base ten blocks like the tens, ones, hundreds, and fraction pieces and coloring. What Mrs. Slesinski likes about teaching is celebrating each other, projects, and activities.
Mrs. Slesinski has been a good teacher to all her students. She is popular among students and well liked by staff. We are glad to have her here at Macdonough School.
