Dhalang (puppet master) and Wesleyan Professor Sumarsam presents a shadow puppet play, accompanied by the Wesleyan Gamelan Ensemble and guest musicians under the direction of I.M. Harjito.

Klenengan

Free

Musicians have gathered regularly at Wesleyan for klenengan, to play Javanese gamelan and enjoy each others company, since the late 1970s. Please join us to celebrate more than twenty-years of music making.

Dhalang (puppet master) I Nyoman Sedana presents a shadow puppet play, accompanied by leading American performers of Balinese gender wayang.

Tickets may be purchased through the Wesleyan University Box office, (860) 685 3355.
Admission to all events is free for presenters and members of participating ensembles, but reservations must be made through the box office by Monday, April 15.

Amtrak services Meriden, nine miles west of Middletown. Taxi service may be prearranged by calling Action Cab (860) 347 2222.

Please note that Wes Fest, an event for prospective students, occurs this same weekend. We therefore encourage you to make your housing arrangements as soon as possible. This should also be considered when arranging your evening dinner reservations!
