"Remember when?" is a
central part of any reunion, and a huge tent on Fauver Field provided a
gathering place for these conversations during the Champagne Reception
for Graduating Seniors and Their Families May 20. (Photo by

Amy Gutmann, president of the University of
Pennsylvania, was this year's Commencement speaker. In her address, she
exhorted the new graduates to adapt an "attitude of mutual respect"
saying, "Mutual respect is not about walking on eggshells...It is about
pursuing common goals in a constructive spirit of engagement, even when
many differences remain.” (Photo by Bill Burkhart) |

the
Reunion & Commencement Weekend, was one of 36 seminars available to the

A highlight of the Reunion is the annual
alumni parade. Graduates of the university, accompanied by friends,
spouses, and offspring, line up chronologically, and, holding banners
high, march to the annual Wesleyan Assembly. This year's Assembly was
held in the new addition to the Freeman Athletic Center. (Photo by Bill
