GET UP AND DANCE: Middletown Dances!,
a collaboration between the Center for the Arts and the City of
Middletown, took place Sept. 10 on Main Street in Middletown. The
festival showcased 40 dance groups and artists from Wesleyan and the
community. Roughly 2,000 people participated in the event.

majors and Wesleyan alumni perform impromptu dances on the sidewalk in
Middletown.
The community was invited to watch or
participate in dances at venues downtown. Ballet, contra, Flamenco,
belly dancing, country line, hip hop and capoeira (pictured) were some of the dances.
