EXCAVATION POINT:
Construction crews, hard at work since early summer, have begun pouring
the foundation walls for the Suzanne Lemberg Usdan University
Center. They are laying new steam and chilled water lines that will run
through the basement of the building connecting the north and south
sides of campus.
The University Center will provide a central
location for formal and informal gatherings. The former Fayerweather
Gymnasium, pictured in back, will contain theater and dance rehearsal
spaces and a ballroom for university events and functions. (Photos by
