A HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS: Northern Middlesex Habitat for Humanity and Wesleyan University presented Cheryl Miller, left, and her son, Aaron, center, with the 13 Huber Avenue property Dec. 10. Pictured with Miller and her son are, from left, Habitat Board Member Manny Cunard, director of Auxiliary Operations and Campus Services; Richard Englehardt, president of the NMHFH board of directors; and Mark Purser, co-coordinator of the Wesleyan Habitat for Humanity Campus Chapter.

Miller has been renting a two-bedroom apartment from the Middletown Housing Authority and competed with 45 other families for the Huber house. The former duplex, which will be remodeled by Wesleyan and community volunteers, is expected to be completed in September 2007. It is the Habitat chapter's eighth project.
