At right, Naomi Ekperigin ’05, a member of the National Theatre of
the Deaf of West Hartford, Conn. conducts a lecture-demonstration as
part of the Center for the Art’s World Family Arts Series Feb. 25 in
World Music Hall. During the lecture she invited members of the audience

using American Sign Language. The National Theatre of the Deaf
performances have received one Grammy nomination and one Tony Award.
