MYSTICAL DEMOLISHING: The Mystical Seven Society building, built around 1907, on Wyllys Avenue was demolished Aug. 6. Mystical Seven played an active part in several philosophical and educational movements of the 19th century. It remains a secret society at Wesleyan.

A new Mystical Seven Society building will be constructed 40 feet north of the existing Scull and Serpent building, parallel to the Center for the Arts World Music Hall. The new building will be a similar, but modernized seven-sided brick structure with a cupola. Construction is set to begin in the late fall and it is expected to be completed in Spring 2008.
