PERFECT PUMPKINS: Wesleyan's Long Lane Farm Club put on their fourth annual Pumpkin Festival Oct. 20 for the Wesleyan and local community. The event included pumpkin face painting, educational composting and organic gardening workshops, beekeeping, tours of the farm, free bike tune-ups, a farmer's market and games for children.

T-shirt designing was one of the many activities occurring throughout the day.
Barry Chernoff, director of the Environmental Studies Certificate Program and the Robert Schumann Professor of Environmental Studies is interviewed about the event.
Dozens of pumpkin-related activities were held for children.
Student and local bands provided musical entertainment.
Children paint faces on pumpkins during the festival. The Long Lane Farm was created in 2004 so students would have a place to come together and learn about food security issues. Students have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of running the farm. (Photos by Olivia Bartlett)
