PLACE OF RACE:
Theodore "Ted" Shaw '76 spoke at Wesleyan on "The Place of Race in 21st
Century America" Dec. 1 in Tishler Lecture Hall.
Shaw is director-counsel and president of
the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, the nation's premier civil
rights organization. In May 2004, Shaw became the fifth person to lead
the organization in its 64-year history.
Dozens of students, staff, faculty and
members of the local community attended Shaw's talk. A question and
answer session followed the lecture.
