ARTFUL AUCTION AND PICNIC: At right, Arthur Wensinger, the Marcus L. Taft Professor of German Language and Literature and Professor of the Humanities, emeritus, serves himself a plate during the Friends of the Davison Art Center Picnic and Auction 2008. The event was held May 17 at the Davison Art Center's Alsop House.

At left, David Redden 70, vice chairman of international auction house Sotheby's, Inc., announces and auctions the items up for bid, while at right, Andy Szegedy-Maszak, the Jane A. Seney Professor of Greek, professor of classical studies, "spots" bidders in the audience. Szegedy-Maszak is on the board of the Friends of the Davison Art Center (FDAC).
