The Web services staff utilize Wesleyan's web and new media as a medium for communication with public constituencies, as well as within the University. Working in conjunction with Information Technology Services, we have developed a template system that gives the University pages a consistent look and feel enabling offices and departments to maintain current content. We consult with offices and departments in the development of sites that draw on common data features, such as calendars, mail, notices, and course and faculty information. In addition, we consult with offices on how to best leverage new media to effectively communicate their message as well as enhance their work efforts.
