HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
WHAT TO EXPECT

OBHS encourages students to make an appointment as soon as they think they might want to meet with a therapist. Call Extension 2910 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The first meeting with a therapist will involve a couple of questionnaires which give the therapist a clear sense of who you are and what areas are of concern to you. Some students have had previous experience with therapy, but we also know that it can be hard to meet someone, even a professional, and then begin to talk about yourself in detail—our initial meeting is designed to make you feel at ease and to “warm up” to topics at your own pace.
