Spend the summer on the Connecticut River!

The Connecticut River Museum, located in Essex, CT, is seeking summer interns to assist the Education Staff with programming during Summer Workshops for children.  Interns will prepare materials and set up projects, help to supervise a group of 20 children and facilitate programming in the fields of Archaeology, Environmental Science, History and Art.  Hours are 8:30 a.m. 1:30 p.m.  Programs run Monday - Friday from July 5 to August 6, 2004.  For details, please contact Education Director Shannon Burke Sikorowicz at (860) 767-8269 or shannons@ctrivermuseum.org


Artists for World Peace, Inc.

The Foundation's ultimate goal is to raise money for the children of all nations. As you can see, we are only at the beginning of a long journey and a grand vision, but one dancer at a time, one performance at a time, and one project at a time, we are building towards our ultimate goal of international peace and unity.

All proceeds generated by the organization's many performances and fund raisers benefit the travel of The International Peace Belt as well as peace organizations around the world that work with children. Our first large fundraiser, which ended in December 2003, generated 650 coats, 400 blankets, and a truck full of food and clothing that was distributed to needy families in America as well as Haiti. This drive culminated in a major delivery to an Indian reservation in South Dakota, where food and clothing was distributed to needy families and schools.  Click here for internship opportunities:

IDA INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY!

Would you like to help people achieve success?  This could be the opportunity you have been waiting for!  The Individual Development Account Program is looking for individuals who wish to help low-income individuals succeed in the IDA program by giving them individual guidance through the program process.  You will also have the opportunity to meet and network with other professionals in the community to market the IDA program to the public and other human service agencies
