Community Engagement Trips

Each year we offer new students the opportunity to do a service project or have a field trip in the Middletown area.  The purpose of the projects is two-fold: to offer assistance to the community and to acquaint our students with their new surroundings.  We hope the students will enjoy the projects and continue to work with the community during their time at Wesleyan. 

WHO: New Students (typically in groups of 10 – 15 students, although the size can vary depending on the needs of your organization)

WHEN: Saturday, August 31st, any time between 9am – 2pm (Please note: shifts should be no more than 3 hours; the project start time and length can vary; if needed, you can request 2 shifts of students)

WHAT: You tell us!  Past projects include: cleaning, painting, children’s activities, and gardening to name a few.  You do not need to know every detail for the trip!  We will continue to firm up the details over the summer.
