Women and
Children’s Center
The Women and Children’s Center is a rehabilitation
center and transitional living facility for women who have abused drugs and
alcohol. The purpose of the center
is to help mothers on the road to recovery build new lives for themselves and
their children. Students babysit the
child while the mother is away at support meetings in
Middletown
. Mothers provide diapers, bottles,
and other essentials that their child may need while they are away at meetings.
Commitment is for the whole semester, excluding academic
breaks. Female volunteers only.
Students volunteer to babysit children from the ages of 3 months to 5
years old, from one to five times a week.
Times: Mon,
Wed, Thurs, Fri, and Sun from
6:00-9:30
.
