Internship opportunity at Flammarion, a leading French publisher in Paris.

Interns form an integral part of the foreign language team, assisting in the publication of illustrated English-language books (art, design, photography, travel, gastronomy, lifestyle), most of which are translations of French books also published by Editions Flammarion. Intern tasks can include any of the following: proofreading, translation, updating Quark files, writing copy, various administrative tasks, and producing marketing materials that will be used to promote our titles in the United States, the United Kingdom, and elsewhere in the English-speaking world. The 35-hour/week internship is a rigorous, hands-on experience, which will give an intern with little or no prior experience the opportunity to work closely with experienced editors and to see first-hand the demands of working for a publishing firm. A monthly stipend, plus partial reimbursement for Metro pass is offered. English mother tongue, student status, and a general proficiency in French are required.
