The Program
The Wesleyan University Program in Germany, run in
consortium with Vanderbilt University and Wheaton College, is located in
Regensburg, a Bavarian city on the upper Danube. The program, established in
partnership with the University of Regensburg, maintains the high academic
standards and dedication to a sound liberal arts education for which its
sponsoring institutions are known. The program accepts a maximum of 30
students from Wesleyan, Vanderbilt, Wheaton, and other colleges and
universities. It runs from mid-January to mid-July, and offers a two-month
language program followed by matriculation at the University of Regensburg
for the summer semester. Students can take a variety of courses in fields
for which Wesleyan grants credit. Courses in the humanities, social
sciences, and natural sciences are available. Course credit can be
transferred easily to other colleges and universities. Every effort is made
to place students in courses from which they will receive the maximum
intellectual benefit.
