CALL FOR PAPERS
The Fairfield Journal of Global Citizenship
cordially invites undergraduate submissions from all majors.
Theme: Global Citizenship
Deadline: June 4, 2010
Submit your papers to:
IntStudiesatfu@gmail.com
The best submissions will receive a $100 Global Citizenship Award and be published
in the Inaugural Fairfield Journal of Global Citizenship
Submission Guidelines:
- The author or co-authors must be undergraduate students
- We are looking for original research that is relevant to global citizenship
- There is no page minimum; however an ideal paper will be between 10-15 pages (SINGLE SPACED)
- Papers must be prepared according to the guidelines of your respective discipline
(APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.)
- High quality photos and other graphics are welcome
- If your research includes human subjects, please include a statement indicating
approval of your research from your school's Institutional Review Board (IRB)
- Submit your paper with a cover letter that includes your
name, contact information, one-paragraph bio, an abstract of
your paper, and a list of key words
The journal will showcase the intellectual explorations of
undergraduates from all majors, as global citizenship is an
interdisciplinary theme encompassing linkages between local and
global challenges. We encourage undergraduate papers that
aim to develop the conceptual and theoretical understandings of
global citizenship, and undergraduate submissions that are
connected to study abroad and other experiences including
international service learning and volunteer service.
