Meet the Orientation Leaders

Orientation Leaders arrive a few days before orientation. They work with Resident Advisors to mentor and guide students during both ISO and NSO. Orientation Leaders also help manage events, including welcoming international students at airports, working at residence hall arrival sites, informational forums and social events.

Welcome to Wes! I’m Fred Ayres, a neuroscience major- economics minor from Detroit, Michigan. On campus, I work in the Office of Community Service as the Co-Coordinator for Hunger and Homeless, spreading awareness about the issues that affect our community. Additionally, I’ll be living in the Community Service House this year and helping create service projects every month. I also work as a tour guide in the Admissions Office (maybe you were once on my tour!). My other hobbies include running, blogging, and video production. If you ever need any help navigating campus or want to know fun facts about some of our traditions, just let me know!

Jill Moraski

Jill Moraski

Hi, my name is Jill and I am a rising Junior from Torrington, Connecticut majoring in Computer Science and Biology. I am not exactly sure what I want to do with this yet, but I am thinking somewhere along the lines of environmental engineering, bioinformatics, or education. Outside of the classroom, I am a rower for the Wesleyan Women's Crew team, a sex-ed teacher in local high schools through our Adolescent Sexual Health Awareness group, a tour guide and receptionist at the Office of Admission, and a Teaching Assistant in the Quantitative Analysis Center. This is my second year as an Orientation Leader and I am incredibly excited to be back! Originally coming into Wesleyan as a transfer student, I was quite apprehensive about transitioning (for the second time) into a new environment and found right away that Wesleyan was a place that welcomes people with open arms. I cannot wait to once again be part of the process of transitioning new students into the college environment and showing them all that Wesleyan has to offer!
My name is Wayne Ng. I am a rising junior from the Bay Area studying Science in Society and Sociology. This past semester, I studied public health in India, Argentina, and South Africa. I cannot wait to welcome you to Wesleyan and share this incredible experience with you.
