Meet Your Orientation Leaders This Year
Orientation Leaders arrive a few days before orientation. They work with Resident Advisors to mentor and guide students during both ISO and NSO. Orientation Leaders also help manage events, including welcoming international students at airports, working at residence hall arrival sites, informational forums and social events.

1. What activities/ organizations are you involved on campus?
I am involved with the Varsity softball team and I am also a member of SAAC (the student athlete advisory committee)
2. What is your one sentence advice for new students who are anxiously preparing for college?
For new students I would say, be yourself and don't be afraid to explore new ideas, there are more people than you think who share the same interests and who are just as excited and anxious as you!

Get stoked, for the best things in life lie right around the corner!!!

24 Hour Play Festival, Outing Club, Prometheus, Synthesis Magazine, Wesleyan Student Assembly, Writing Workshop.

You don't have to be a double major.

I'm running a performing group, or a
dancing crew called Project Wes. We practice breaking, one of the oldest form
of Hip hop. Besides, I also volunteer for a community service called Food not
bomb. I also take photos for the Argus.

Be open to all possibilities and choices.

1. What activities/ organizations are you involved on campus?
I was the PRO for the African Students' Association here all of last year and I'm involved with the the international relations association on campus. I'm an international student too so I try as much as i can to be active with the international community on campus.
2. What is your one sentence advice for new students who are anxiously preparing for college?
Four years seems like a very long time at the start of freshman year but it goes by really QUICK so savor each moment and don't forget to bring a piece of home with you, you'll need it!

I work as a teacher’s assistant and academic tutor at the Green Street Arts Center, an educational organization run by Wesleyan.
2. What is your one sentence advice for new students who are anxiously preparing for college?
If you get nervous about some of the transitions you will be making in the fall, remind yourself that all of the other new students are just as anxious as you are!

Jason Kilbourne
1. What activities/ organizations are you involved on campus?
I have been involved with the Wesleyan Sound Cooperative, Intramural Basketball (C League!), the Queer Community Meetings, the Eclectic Society, and booking concerts. I also DJ and play guitar and yell in several bands.
2. What is your one sentence advice for new students who are anxiously preparing for college?
Don't be afraid to walk up to people and introduce yourself when you get here--Wesleyan students really are friendly folks!

1. What activities/ organizations are you involved on campus?
I am involved in lots of theater at Wesleyan. I have been in productions by both Second Stage and the Theater Department. I am also on the Editorial Staff for The Hangman's Lime poetry magazine. I take part in the Storytelling Co-Op, work at the Reserve Desk in Olin Library, and love to cook in the dorm kitchens.
2. What is your one sentence advice for new students who are anxiously preparing for college?
Savor the rest of your summer, but get excited for your first year at Wesleyan--it is an awesome experience!

Take some time to think about what you want to get out of your college experience; but when you arrive on campus, be open to new ideas, people, and opportunities, and be prepared for things to change as you discover new possibilities.

I'm a member of the Women's Crew Team and I volunteer for the Office of Health Education as a Peer Health Advocate.
2. What is your one sentence advice for new students who are anxiously preparing for college?
When you get to Wes, don't ever be afraid to ask for help - the people here are awesome and always happy to point you in the right direction!

1. What activities/ organizations are you involved on campus?
I'm the secretary for the Freeman Asian Scholars Association. I volunteer as a tutor for the Office of Community Service. I work at Oddfellows Playhouse as an administrative assistant and as a Teaching Assistant. If this counts -- last year, I was part of 200 Church (the freshman social justice house) and this coming year, I'll be living in Chinese House. :)

Start exercising now to fight off the freshman 15 (because food at Wes really is that good).

Nandita V Vijayaraghavan

1. What activities/ organizations are you involved on campus?
I was a member of the Wesleyan Student Assembly for 2 1/2 years, being a Coordinator for one of them. I am also involved in Wesleyan Mock Trial, the Korean Students Association, Shakti-- the South Asian Student Association. I have been very involved in musical theater and music at Wesleyan, and have also been a tour guide for the University since my sophomore year, as well as a caller for the Red and Black Calling Society. In addition, I studied abroad in South Korea for Spring 2012, so if you have any questions about the above, please do ask me!
2. What is your one sentence advice for new students who are anxiously preparing for college?
My biggest piece of advice for incoming students is to manage your time really well and make sleep a top priority-- it's really easy to overload at Wes because it is very easy to get involved, so sleep is probably the most important activity of all. :)

Advice: Wesleyan offers a lot of help transitioning into college and I would have a great relaxing summer before starting school in the fall.

1. What activities/ organizations are you involved on campus?
Through Wesleyan's "Myths at Macdonough"I teach ancient Greek mythology to fifth graders at Macdonough School. Once a week I attend a social hour with seniors at One Macdonough Place with Elderly Services. I am on the executive board of Rho Epsilon Pi, a non-national, non-traditional sorority. I also compete for Wes on the varsity swim team. Go Cardinals!

Trust yourself - you know more than you think you do.

I'm Vice President of Wesleyan Democrats, co-founder and co-president of Wesleyan Quidditch, a member of the Butts Unit Council, and a member of Active Minds.
2. What is your one sentence advice for new students who are anxiously preparing for college?
If first semester doesn't live up to your expectations, don't panic because there are several ways that you can easily make your second semester better.
Zoe Lo
1. What activities/ organizations are you involved on campus?
Hey! I am a member of Notably Sharp (Wesleyan's best dressed coed A Capella group). I've also participated in musical theatre on campus and played Marcy Park in our production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee." Apart from the arts, I am also involved in cultural activities. I've been a part of the Taiwanese Cultural Society and have performed in events such as the Lunar New Year Show.
2. What is your one sentence advice for new students who are anxiously preparing for college?
My one sentence advice would be: Don't be intimidated by your professors and/or your peers; encourage yourself to try new things and make the most of your years at Wesleyan.
