My Dear Friends,

On this Christmas Eve I offer my heart-felt prayers and warm wishes for a blessed Christmas, filled with the peace and joy that comes from the birth of Emmanuel, “God With Us."

Christ was born in Bethlehem, the “house of bread,” so that we might satisfy our spiritual hunger with the “bread of life."   From Bethlehem to Memorial Chapel the light of Christ’s coming illuminates the darkness and gives us hope that human love can overcome fear and sadness and can survive even the silence of death.

At Christmas we rejoice and give thanks to the One who “loves each of us as if there were only one of us” (St. Augustine).

May we continue to be lights to one another.

Love and blessings,

Father Bill
