Subject: Gathering Today @ 5pm

Dear Students,
So many students, faculty and staff are filled with various thoughts and deep emotions today in the wake of yesterday’s election results.  Whatever our political commitments, the personal and political are so very intertwined.  As always, each of us will process these events in our own ways and in our own time.  That said, it is often good and helpful to turn toward each other to share, to empathize, to be in community.  The Student Affairs staff and WSA invite you to join us in the DFC (3rd floor of Usdan) at the end of the day today for small group sharing and processing.  We will gather from 5 – 6:30pm, and hope that you will join us if you are able.
We offer this as only one of the many ways students can heal and process, and we support students healing in whatever setting they feel most comfortable.  Malcolm X House will be hosting a student-run SOC safe space from 12 am to 12 pm today.  If you would like to get the word out about additional spaces for healing, please contact Keyonne Session (ksession@wesleyan.edu) and WSA will post them on the WSA facebook page throughout the day.
