Subject: RESIDENCE ENTERED

Dear Wesleyan Community:

At about 3:20 AM this morning another Wesleyan Residence was entered and an I pad stolen.  The residence is located in the 100 block of Church St.  It appears the suspect entered via an unsecured window and then entered an unlocked occupied student room.  The presence of the intruder awoke occupants in the room and the suspect fled.  The suspect who is believed to have been alone is described as a taller male wearing dark clothing and possessed a bag.

Public Safety and Middletown Police are investigating this incident.  This matter as well as other recent burglaries remain open and active cases.  I urge you to check your residence closely at night and be sure exterior windows and doors are secure.  Be extra alert and report any activity that is suspicious to Public Safety promptly.  Public Safety can be reached around the clock at 860-685-3333.  If you are in danger call 9-1-1 immediately.

Thank you for your continued attention, I will provide updates as they become available.  Please contact me with any concerns.

Sincerely,

Scott W. Rohde
