Subject: State of the School Address with President Roth

Dear All,

You are invited to the Second Annual State of the School Address with President Roth, taking place Wednesday, September 21st at 8 PM in Memorial Chapel. President Roth will deliver remarks and then take questions from students. Following the remarks, we’ll have a student-only debrief at 9:30 PM.

To submit a question, please follow this link: http://bit.ly/2cyZG7B

Background:

The State of the School grew out of students’ desire for more transparency from the Administration. Scheduled at the beginning of the year and days before the Board of Trustees meeting, the State of the School is designed to ensure that student opinions are heard and heeded by the Administration as they make policies in the year ahead.

This event is just the beginning of ensuring more transparency and inclusion of student voices. During the student-only session, we’ll draft a list of top student priorities and concerns. We’ll report back at the end of each semester about progress made toward these top student objectives.

We look forward to receiving your questions and hope to see you on Wednesday.

All the best,

Rebecca Hutman and Nila Ravi

WSA President and Vice President
