Hey Wesleyan!

As we approach the middle of the semester with its increase in exams and assignments, all the clinicians at CAPS want to remind you that we are here to help you manage the stressors and difficulties in your lives.  We are pleased our staff has grown this year, allowing us to accommodate more students.  Our current wait time for an initial intake appointment is about 7 days, and we have 30-minute urgent appointments available every afternoon Monday through Friday.

We would also like to remind you that while we search for a new Director of Survivor Advocacy and Community Education, Lindsay DeFrancisco from Women and Families Center of Middletown is available to meet with students 1:1 in room 218 on the second floor of DHC.  She will also facilitate a survivor support group which begins on Friday October 13th.  The group will meet from 12:15 – 1:15 in the solarium on the 2nd floor of the health center.  Any student with a concern about sexual violence can request a confidential meeting with Lindsay, or contact me directly for support at jdandrea@wesleyan.edu .

If you would like to make a 1:1 appointment with Lindsay or join the survivor support group, please email her at LDeFrancisco@womenfamilies.org .

We hope to see you at CAPS!
