| Parents, students, alumni, faculty and administrators
maintain a sense of community in many ways, but especially through the
varied events, held both on- and off-campus throughout the year. Two
signature events that define the community are Homecoming/Family Weekend in
the fall and Reunion & Commencement in the Spring. These two event draw to
campus people from all over the world; parents to see their students and
their friends, alumni to reconnect with Wesleyan and old friends.
Off-campus gatherings might include
summer sendoffs to welcome families
new to Wesleyan; admission receptions in the fall to entice promising young
students to apply to Wesleyan; alumni club events to socialize or faculty
lectures to continue the unique Wesleyan learning experience.
On-campus events might include cultural events; student performances or
exhibits; athletic contests; lectures; seminars; career networking
receptions; Shasha Seminars for
Human Concerns;
Sons & Daughters: Preparing for the College Admission Process; WesFest
admission event in the Spring; or fundraising celebrations.
We invite you to explore these options and participate as much as
possible in this amazing community that is Wesleyan. |
