Family Weekend - September 26-28, 2014

Wesleyan families are invited to Family Weekend and to experience life at Wesleyan by attending classes and WESeminars, enjoying campus meals, cheering on our teams, and much more.

Since 1995 Wesleyan’s Homecoming and Family Weekend have been combined to create a true community event. This year Homecoming coincides with Fall break, forcing us to shift Family Weekend away from its traditional time.  Careful consideration of a variety of factors – including student schedules, religious holidays, on-campus happenings, and the availability of faculty and staff -  led to the selection of the September 27-28 dates.

Please know that we do our best to avoid conflicts with major religious holidays.  Because many members of the Wesleyan community celebrate the Jewish new year, most Family Weekend programming will be held on Saturday and Sunday.

Rabbi David is planning special programs on Friday, September 26 - such as an Eco-Tashlikh program at 4 p.m. for families who might want to celebrate with their students, in addition to Shabbat services and the Family Weekend Shabbat Dinner.

We hope you'll join us for another memorable weekend at Wesleyan!

Meg Zocco
Director of Networks, Affinities and Parent Programs

P.S. We invite families to stop by the Parent Programs hospitality suite throughout the day on Saturday, September 27. There we will offer opportunities to meet with various faculty and staff, relax and enjoy refreshments. More details will be posted on the Family Weekend website. And we hope you'll join us on Saturday morning for the annual Parents Assembly meeting, where you will have the opportunity to hear from President Roth. View the Family Weekend website for all the latest information and to register.
