Subject: May Closing information

Dear Students,

As you prepare for spring break, we wanted to send you some information about May closing so you can start planning your departure with family and friends:

University Residences will close on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 1 p.m. (EST).

Students are approved to stay for Reunion and Commencement Week if they are working for University Relations, participating in University Summer Housing (in Bennet Hall) starting May 27, 2014, or seniors walking in Commencement.

Seniors and approved students working for Reunion and Commencement have to move out of housing by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2014.

Spring break is an excellent time to start bringing home things you do not need. If your family lives close or is visiting, please think about using the weekends leading up to finals and the reading days to move your things home or to a storage space to lessen your stress during finals week.

If you need a storage company, please start evaluating your options. New England Student Services( http://www.nestudentservices.com/) and Martin’s Movers (http://www.martinmovingstorage.com/)  are companies that will come and pick up your items and drop them off at the beginning of the year if transportation is an issue. Remember that the Zip Car can also be used to help you transport things if you have a membership.

We will be sending additional information about closing after spring break that will be more in detail about closing including transition housing.

Enjoy your spring break and we will see you in a few weeks!
