Dear Members of the Wesleyan Community,

It is with sadness that I write to inform you that Noah Langholz, Class of 2014, died unexpectedly on Tuesday at his home in California while on leave from Wesleyan.  Funeral services will be held Friday in Los Angeles at Mt. Sinai Memorial Park.  Noah had a strong artistic side and was planning to be a photo major; he interned with an architecture firm in San Francisco last year.  Noah had many friends throughout the Wesleyan community.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor, compassion, and generosity, and will be missed by all.

A memorial service celebrating Noah's life is being planned.  Please contact Rabbi David at dleipziger@wesleyan.edu if you would like to help in the planning. Please also consider sharing your memories of Noah and your thoughts with his family on Noah's Facebook site, his brother Ben Langholz' Facebook site, or by e-mail to sauerbach2063@sbcglobal.net (Susan Auerbach and Bryan Langholz, parents). His parents also welcome any of you traveling in the Los Angeles area to stop by to visit to talk about Noah and to have a place to stay if you need it.

Students currently on campus who would like to come together are welcome to gather in the DFC Lounge at 1 p.m. this Friday.  Students may also call CAPS at 860-685-2910 to reach the therapist on call, and Dr. D'Andrea will have drop-in hours from 5-6 p.m. next Monday through Thursday.

Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Lorna Scott in the Deans' Office (219 North College, lscott@wesleyan.edu), who will collect them and forward them to Noah's family.

Sincerely,

Dean Rick Culliton
