Subject: Robbery Update

Dear Community:

I am writing to provide updated information regarding the robbery of a Wesleyan student that I initially reported on September 9, 2015.  Two of the three suspects involved were arrested and formally charged.  One suspect was arrested a short time after the robbery and the other suspect was arrested later that day.  Based on information developed during the investigation the reported identity of the third suspect was determined and charges are currently pending.

This situation illustrates how Public Safety, Middletown Police and the community can work together to quickly respond when serious incidents occur.  The importance of remaining vigilant in reporting suspicious activity cannot be overly stressed.  Reports can me made 24/7 by calling Public Safety at (860) 685-2345 or (860) 685-3333 for emergencies.  For Life threatening conditions always call 9-1-1 immediately.

Sincerely,

Scott W. Rohde
