Subject: Welcome Updates

Dear Students:

Welcome to the spring semester!  Although some students have been on campus throughout the winter recess, we are thrilled that the rest of you are back and look forward to working with you over the next several months.

Since there are some new students joining us this term (as well as others who were away from campus last fall), I want to remind everyone that the Beta (184 High), DKE (276 High), and Psi U (242 High) houses are closed and off-limits to all students this academic year.  This means that any student found at these properties will be subject to serious disciplinary measures by the University

Psi U leadership has submitted to us a plan for returning to program housing as a co-ed organization for the 2016-17 academic year.  We expect that house to re-open for the fall semester.  Residential Life will soon be circulating information about the application process for all program houses.

Finally, I want to remind you of the funding available for student groups through the Office of Student Activities and Leadership Development (SALD).  These funds are to support weekend events planned and implemented by student groups – please contact SALD for more information.

With best wishes for a safe, inspiring and productive semester,

Dean Mike Whaley
