About Parent Volunteer Opportunities
Parents of current Wesleyan students are actively involved in a number of volunteer programs both on and off campus. The goal of parent volunteer efforts is, broadly, to enhance the Wesleyan experience for students and their families – and more specifically, to provide opportunities for connecting parents with other parents, alumni, students, staff and faculty in the Wesleyan community. Available opportunities include:
-
Bring parents together via Parent-to-Parent Programs, including Arrival Day, and the Fall Call and Spring Call programs.
-
Edit or contribute ideas or advise Wesleyan on its communications with parents.
-
Volunteer during on-campus events, by participating as a presenter or proctor for a WESeminar during Homecoming/Family Weekend or Reunion & Commencement.
-
Contribute to The Wesleyan Fund and call other parents to ask them to contribute, too.
-
Work with the Career Resources Center to help a Wesleyan student or alumnus develop or change careers.
-
Be a participant and an ambassador for Wesleyan. Host, help plan, or attend Wesleyan lectures and events in your area.
If you are interested in being involved, need more information or have a question, please contact the Office of Parent Programs via e-mail or phone (860) 685-3756.
