1. How long does it take to set up direct deposit?

The prenote process, which tests the accuracy of the input, takes 10 business days. If you are paid weekly, plan on two pay cycles. Semimonthly or monthly paid employees should plan on one pay cycle.

5. When do I get paid?

Normally, weekly paid employees (including temporary employees and undergraduate students) are paid on Fridays.

Semimonthly employees (including graduate students) are paid on the 15th and with the Monthly paid employees on the last day of the month unless it falls on a weekend and then payday would be the Friday prior.

6. Why don’t deductions come out of the fifth weekly paycheck in a month?Why don’t deductions come out of the fifth weekly paycheck in a month?

Deductions are set up based on the four week months, so that in months with five pays, no deductions would come out of the last check. This keeps monthly total deductions even each month.

7. I am a student – why didn’t I get paid?

There could be several reasons. First, check with your employer to see if your time was submitted. If it was, then contact payroll to see if you were not paid due to your I9 form not being completed. You will be paid as soon as you bring proper identification to payroll and complete the form.

8. How do I change my address if I move?

In the personal profile section of your portfolio you can change your home address.

9. How do I change where my paycheck is delivered?

In the personal profile section of your portfolio you can direct your paycheck or direct deposit stub to your campus mail drop or home address.

10. I just got married, how do I change my name?

Congratulations! As soon as you have a new social security card bring it to the Payroll Office and we will make the change.

11. Can I get a copy of my pay stub?

Payroll does not have copies of your pay stubs. You should sign up for IPay through the ADP web site. Instructions can be found in Portfolio under personal profile. Then you will be able to print copies of your pay stubs and W2 forms. Additionally, if you have direct deposit you can request payroll turn off the printing of your stub and you can access it online instead.
