Work Eligibility

It is Wesleyan University intent to comply with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. This legislation requires employers to verify new employees' eligibility for employment in the United States and to hire only U. S. citizens and aliens who are lawfully authorized to work in the U.S.   This legislation applies to all individuals, including students, temporary employees, faculty and staff, employed on June 1, 1987, and later.

To comply with this legislation all individuals must fill out the Form I-9 and submit the required documentation prior to their first day of working on campus.
